Halifax Matchmaker is looking for reliable, engaging, and people-focused individuals to support our dating experiences, social events, and brand presence across HRM.

How opportunities work

Roles are offered on a contract or per-event basis
Scheduling is flexible and based on upcoming events
Some positions are ongoing; others are event-specific
Paid per event, per shift, or performance-based (role dependent)

Guided Experience Leaders

Support our Matchmaking in Motion events by leading or assisting with guided walks, guided hikes, and yoga classes.

Ideal for

Outdoor enthusiasts, yoga instructors or wellness leaders, and confident, calm facilitators. Events typically run evenings or weekends.

Social Event Hosts & Activity Leads

Help guide and host our interactive social experiences, including game nights, dance classes, and themed mixers. You'll help welcome guests, guide activities, and maintain a relaxed, engaging atmosphere.

Great for

People who enjoy hosting, facilitation, and social interaction.

Signature Series Event Support

For our larger, premium experiences, we contract support staff such as musical entertainers, servers, registration & door attendants, and event security.

Focus areas

Guest experience, access control, and smooth event flow. Experience preferred for some roles but not required for all.

Brand Ambassadors & Promotional Team

We're building an exclusive, high-class promotional team to represent Halifax Matchmaker at major events across HRM. This is not a traditional street team — it's an elevated ambassador role for people who want to be at the centre of Halifax's social scene.

Content Creators & Videographers

We're hiring casual videographers and content creators to help capture events and promotional moments.

Requirements & bonuses

A smartphone with a high-quality camera is required. Bonuses for editing skills, experience with short-form video (Reels, TikTok), and creative storytelling.
